I've seen some beautiful mohair out there, and yes it's VERY expensive, and worth it I'm sure! However, I want to keep my reborn costs down. (I'm always thinking of the person who's going to be adopting my reborns.) I purchased this wonderful mohair here in Canada. It's very soft, and light. The color is a light blonde with some red-brown highlights. This is the natural color! Beautiful!
I just washed and rinsed the mohair and laid it out to dry on a towel. After it's dry, this could take 24 hours, I will brush out the mohair and make it all nice and silky.
Here's a close up of the mohair. It's still wet, but you can see the color difference. Some is light blond and others are more of a light brown. I just love it! I also need to trim the ends that I've rubber banded to keep them together during the washing process.
I'm not sure I'll sell any of this wonderful mohair, but I will be using it on upcoming reborns!
Have a good Wednesday! :)
